  1. hey, i’m a local in solidarity with your cause i see the the lights from my bedroom every night i cant imagine what they’re going through.

  2. My brother is also in the SHU and I have not got any contact visit. I only get to see him behind glass for an hour and he is about 4 1/2 hours away. Please sign this petition to help support prisoners that are participating in the hunger strike and the ones who did not survive it.http://www.change.org/petitions/california-dept-of-corrections-cdc-i-urge-you-to-take-action-to-the-reasonable-demands-immediately?share_id=zSgwHfnbaf&utm_campaign=signature_receipt&utm_medium=email&utm_source=share_petition

  3. I urge everyone to look into what is really going on behind our prisons. You know it is very interesting to see that many people don’t care about prisoners and I can understand that because many people who are currently in the system obviously committed a crime but I personally think that a person deserves a second chance for I have asked myself many times what ever happen to that second chance, did it go away? These prisoners who are presently in the Security Housing Unit (SHU) deserve a second chance especially if they have not had misconduct for many years so why is it that CDC is keeping these prisoners for many years in the SHU ask yourself this question and with a little bit of research you will find the answer, my take is GREED!

    Stop Indefinite Solitary Confinement!

  4. As a taxpayer and voter I stand behind the inmate strikers and believe that my tax dollars should be spent on overseers for California’s prison systems. Who watches out for the people inside other than the people keepers? As a Minister who has done Prison Ministry for the past twenty-five years, the public should understand these are human beings who are treated less than the animals we send to the ASPCA. When an inmate gets a case within the prison and it has gone into the Court system and the case has been dropped “In the Interest of Justice” the prison then retaliates by holding “in house” hearings and punishing the inmate nonetheless. To continue to house prisoners for decades in solitary confinement defies the laws of nature and God. Give this some thought…changes need to be made when it comes to crime and punishment inside the walls. Human warehousing in solitary says what about the “R” for Rehabilitation in California’s prison system?

    • Praise the Lord Pastor I am in agreement with you. When I was in the WORLD and not serving the Lord I came across many law enforcement monsters who used their so called authority to “”TRY”” to push their false power on people in whole, but at that time I was married to a person who also was in with them, so i know a little about how monsterous these so called protectors of the people,I also have a relative who is a guard at a Ca. State Prison and he should instead of tortureing those that are already doing their time, Guards of these prisons rub each others backs and the GOVERNOR SHOULD GET THE FBI TO INVESTIGATE THESE ILLEGAL TREATMENTS OF INMATES WHO ARE ALREADY PAYING FOR THEIR MISTAKES. DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS ARE TREATED MORE LIKE HUMANS IN THIS COUNTRY, COME ON MR. JERRY BROWN, YOU MUST NOT BE A GOD FEARING OR BELEIVE IN NOTHING, BECAUSE YOU ARE INHUMANE ALSO, GOD FORGIVE YOU, AND IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, THEY ALSO CAN MAKE A MISTAKE AND MAYBE YOUR AUTHORITY WILL NOT WORK SO YOU NEED TO BE A GOVERNOR OF THE PEOPLE NOT AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF CALIFORNIA, WE THE RELATIVES AND LOVED ONES ARE THE PEOPLE AND OUR LOVED ONES ARE HUMAN PEOPLE. I AM SO UPSET AT ALL THIS THAT I NEED TO TAKE TIME OUT SERVERAL TIMES A DAY. GOD FORGIVE YOU JERRY. SHAME ON YOU.

  5. I would just like to say that everyday my heart is with the families and suppoorters and especially the men that are taking a stand. I preay everyday that the prisons will listen to what is right.

  6. Hi my name is Valerie and I have a brother currently serving life in prison for a crime he did not commit. I am writing this on behalf of my brother Carlo who has decided to take a stand against the mistreatment of prisoners in SHU. Although this is a inhumane approach to get their voices heard I do recognize the need of some of their needs. Although, they are serving hard time they are still people that have basic needs and what they are doing is not an simple task. My prayers and support go out to the inmates and families that have a loved one in this position. May they have pity on them and at least give them the basic of what they are asking for. May blessings!

  7. My name is Diana, i have been through the State and Federal system…I have friends and family that are incarcerated and have done time. The prison system is created to “house” inmates. In no way is their any kind of rehabillatation at all. All the years, did i ever get any rehabilitatation. People yes People are locked up like animals and wonder why they come out even more violent. We treat them inhumanely. Basic needs for those incarcerated is nothing more than respect. They get treated like animals…then what do we expect? My heart, prayers, and respect goes out to those who have no choice but to do a Hunger Strike to TRY and get some ATTENTION. Bless you all who have something left in your heart after being stripped of all you deserve…I am involved with a support group in Riverside California and on Facebook ‘TEARS TO TRIUMPH’ for families of the incarcerated…go to our page for support…Be strong, and never give up…Respectfully….Diana Jackson,,
