On behalf of the Leonard Peltier Defense Offense Committee, 27 July 2011:
The Attorney General of the United States manages the Department of Justice, of which the Bureau of Prisons is a part. For the next two days, we ask supporters to contact Attorney General Eric Holder. Whether for a week, a month, a year, or 10 years… Solitary
Confinement is Torture! Solitary is cruel and unusual and was recognized as such by the U.S. Supreme Court a century ago.
Call, Write & Email the Dept of Justice Attorney General and express your concern about the impact of solitary on the health of Leonard Peltier, a 66-year-old man in poor health. Demand that Leonard Peltier be immediately released from solitary and returned to the general population at USP-Lewisburg.

Those of us on the outside, must do whatever we can to help those on the inside – I try & find postcards of: artwork, people, & animals, to send to prisoners. It is much easier to write a postcard, than to write a letter. I do not send postcards of places, as that could put pressure on prisoners, who are not able to go anywhere!!!!!!!!!!
